Course Description

This online, on-demand course will prepare entry level occupational therapy practitioners to provide best practice when discharge planning for adults with physical disabilities. Content will include occupational therapy's role in discharge planning, assessment tools that support discharge planning, best practice interventions to support safe discharge plans, and exploring community resources to support discharge planning. Instructional methods will include lecture, case studies, and interactive quizzes.

Instructor

Sarah Zera, OTD, OTR/L has been working with adults with physical disabilities for over 20 years. She has worked throughout the spectrum of care including skilled nursing, inpatient rehab, and outpatient rehab. Throughout her career she has observed how important discharge planning is to the success of her client's outcomes. This course has been "on her mind" for over 10 years and she's excited to finally share it with you!
